The Club held a seminar on Sunday October 27th, organised by Margaret Armour. We had the great fortune to hold the day in the beautiful home of Myra Mills and for that we thank her very much.

Following on from the success of last year’s seminar we held another one this year and once more it was a great success. It was very well attended with people from other breeds also attending. Once again, my good friend Mrs Myra Mills allowed The Scottish Great Dane Club to hold the seminar in her beautiful home. This year the weather was sunny and bright and as lunch was in the sun room we could all enjoy the beautiful view of Knapps Loch.

Our 4 speakers - Mrs Maria McGuinness- breeding, Gary Hooker- What a judge looks for and Hints and Tips for Showing, Jean Doneghan- Scottish Dog Laws and Canine Massage Techniques, Jenny Helm from Glasgow Vet School on Canine Cancers, were fantastic and my sincere thanks to each one for coming and helping make such an educational and fun day. The club also took this opportunity to give a Special Award to Alan Sneddon for his hard work and dedication to his dogs and to showing.
